COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
UNIFORM, WOMAN’S: TUNIC AND SLACKS, WHITE, FOOD HANDLERS
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description.
Intended use
This commercial item description shall be used for procurement of the pantsuit.
Salient characteristics
A. Tunic: The tunic shall be below hip length with a two piece or princess style front, 5 or 6 button front closure, notched collar, and lapel, short sleeves, and patch pockets on each lower front panel.
B. Slacks: The slacks shall have either straight or mini-bell shaped legs, permanent or stitched crease, a two-inch item, and elasticized waist.
C. Fabric: The fabric shall be a 65/35 polyester/cotton poplin or fine line twill with a permanent press non-chlorine retentive finish. The color shall be white.
D. Sizes: The tunic and slacks shall be available in the following sizes:

Certification
The contractor shall certify that the product offered meets the salient characteristics of this description, and that the product conforms to the producer’s own drawings, specifications, standards and quality assurance practices and is the same product sold in the commercial marketplace. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the provisions of the contract.
