required, the specific issue of individual documents referenced
(see 2.2).

Number of jackets in first article (see 3.2).
6.3. Standard sample. For information regarding availability of
standard sample jackets and standard shades specified, address
inquiry to the procuring activity issuing the invitation for
bids.
6.4. Figures. Figures 1 through 7 show general design of the
jackets with assembly details and measurements. In the event of
conflict between these figures and the text of this
specification, the text of this specification will govern.
6.5. Fusing conditions. Specific machine setting should be
obtained from the supplier of the particular fusible material for
optimum results. The following fusing conditions include the
recommendations of several suppliers of fusible material and are
furnished for guidance only.
a.
Temperature between pressing surface of 300°F minimum
and 320°F maximum, at the fuseline (not the temperature at the
clock).
b.
Pressure between pressing surfaces of 6 pounds force
per square inch (1bf/in2) minimum and 7 1bf/in2 maximum.
c.
Pressing time of 12 seconds minimum and 14 seconds
maximum.
d.
Heat-dry.
6.6. Peel strength test. The procedure for the peel strength
testing with a spring scale should be obtained from the supplier
of the fusible material, and will be accomplished two hours after
fusing.
6.7. Vinyl piping. The vinyl piping manufactured by the Thielex
Plastics Company has been found to meet the requirements in
3.3.4.1.
