NOTES
(This section contains information of a general or
explanatory nature that may be helpful, but is not mandatory.)
6.1. Intended use. The skirts covered by this specification are
intended for wear by female personnel of the U.S. Marine Corps
Band and Drum and Bugle Corps as required.
6.2. Acquisition requirements.
Acquisition documents must
specify the following:
a.
Title, number, and date of the specification.
b.
Issue of DoDISS to be cited in the solicitation, and if
required, the specific issue of individual documents referenced
(see 2.2).
c.
Packaging requirements (see 5.1).
d.
Size required (see 1.2).
e.
Whether first article is required (see 3.2).
f.
Number of skirts in first article (see 3.2).
6.3. Standard sample. For information regarding the availability
of standard sample and patterns, address inquiries to the
acquiring activity issuing the invitation for bids.
6.4. Figure. Figure 1 is furnished for information purposes
only. In the event of conflict between the figure and the text
of this specification, the text of this specification will
govern.
6.5. Knitted cloth. Knitted cloth from Prelude, Industries, 301
N. 5th Street, Sunbury, PA 17801 in their style 23-R-3 meets the
requirements of 3.3.3.
6.6. "Or equal" items. Prior to the use of an "or equal" item,
the contractor will submit the items with supporting data to the
contracting officer for approval. Items will be sent to:
Commander (Code 855), Marine Corps Logistics Bases, 814 Radford
Boulevard, Albany, Georgia 31704-1128.
