inch seam, with the braid for the
hangers folded in half to form a loop
and with the ends of the loops and
the top edge of the size label placed
on the inside of the skirt and caught
in the stitching.
c. The hangers shall be positioned
one at each side seamline. The size
label shall be at the back on either
side of zipper opening.
d. In the finished skirt, the length
of the hanger loop shall be 1-5/8 ±
1/8 inches, measured from the bottom
edge of the waistband to the end of
the loop.
17 Topstitch waistband.
Finished appearance. The waistband
shall be sewn on smoothly and evenly
and shall have a flat appearance
throughout with no gathers, puckers,
pleats or other distortions in the
waistband, and shall be even width
along the entire length. The
waistband shall be 1 ± 1/8 inches
wide. The pointed end shall extend
1-1/2 ± 1/8 inches beyond the front
edge of the center back opening, and
the squared end shall extend 1-1/2 ±
1/8 inches beyond the back edge of
the zipper placket.
