11 Hem body lining.
Finished appearance. The hem shall
be uniformly stitched, uniform in
width, and shall finish smooth and
flat without twists, gathers,
puckers, or pleats. The hem shall
finish 1 inch wide.

12 Join neck and front facing at
shoulders.
Finished appearance. The neck facing
shall be carefully and properly
aligned, and seamed to the respective
front facing so that in the finished
cape, the neck facing shall be smooth
and flat without creases, bulges, or
other defect or distortion.

shall be carefully seamed to the neck
facing so that in the finished cape,
the lining shall be smooth and flat
along the front and neck facing
without creases, bulges, overlapping
of excess material, or other defect
or distortion.
a. Position body lining on the wool
facing with notches matched to insure
proper seaming, and with the hemmed
bottom edge of the lining aligned
with the upper notch in the facing,
as indicated by pattern.
