Buttonholes shall be well worked over
gimp to fit a 22-line button with the
ends of the buttonholes securely
tacked. The purling of the
buttonhole shall be on the outside of
the flaps.
e. The finished hip pocket flap
shall measure 4-1/2 ± 1/8 inches
across top.

Finished appearance. The pockets
shall finish smooth and flat without
bulkiness, bulges or other
distortions on the outside of the
finished slacks. The stitchings
shall be uniform and secure. The
pocket openings and flaps shall be in
proper alignment.
