in accordance with good manufacturing
practice.
b. Spread open the shoulder seam and
press flat, holding the shoulders
short, and exercising much care in
pressing in order not to effect a
distorted appearance in the finished
seam. The pressing shall be
accomplished with a heated pressing
iron or pressing machine over a
suitable block.
59 Set shoulder loops.
Finished appearance. The shoulder
loops shall be securely stitched
without causing distortion to the
shoulder and shall be positioned as
follows: one loop on each shoulder
5/8 to 3/4 inch from the raw edge of
armhole; one loop on each shoulder 4
to 4-1/4 inches from the raw edge of
armhole; and the front end of each
loop shall be 5/8 to 3/4 inch in
front of the shoulder seam line. The
loop shall finish 1 + 1/8 inch long
from folded edge to folded edge.
